Attention girls in Grades in 3-12 interested in learning how to pitch. Mrs. Sigeti will be holding a weekly softball pitching/catching clinic on Wednesday mornings this summer starting on Wednesday, July 6th. Grades 3-5 will be working with the Summer Recreation Program to facilitate morning sessions from 9:30-10:30 AM. Grades 6-12 will be immediately following from 10:30-11:30 AM on the Brocton Softball Field. This program is free of charge. Summer Band lessons! All students entering 5th grade through 12th grade: Summer Band Lessons are available to you right at the school! To sign up, please call Mr. Hornbuckle at (716)792-2145 or email him at bhornbuckle@broctoncsd.org and indicate the student name, grade, and instrument you are interested in. Sign-ups go until next Thursday, June 23rd. Lessons will be once a week, exact dates to be determined, starting after the fourth of July. Mr. Hornbuckle will contact students and parents after the 23rd.

The kindergaren classes took advantage of the great weather on Friday and conducted their weekly STEM lesson outside. They worked in teams to build a medieval tower as one of the K'Nex building challenges as part of their current Science unit.

On Monday, Mrs. James's computer class celebrated being the first class to complete courses in the new Skillsoft program. Skillsoft provides job and career skill courses for students and adults. These students completed industry recognized and resume enhancing trainings in Microsoft Word and Excel. The National Education Foundation, with whom we partner with for Skillsoft, provided the funding for the brunch, as well as an Amazon gift card incentive for these stueents. Congratulations to this great group of high school students!

The Elementary Spring Concert is here! Please join us on Monday, June 6th at 9:30 AM in the Leslie Rossiter Memorial Auditorium for a Spring Concert featuring all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and the 5th grade band! Parents can enter the school through the auditorium entrance closest to the flagpole. The program will be about 45 minutes in length. This message is to notify the community of a plant swap and giveaway hosted by the Brocton Student Council this Friday, May 20th from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM in the courtyard by the high school gym. We will be sharing annual flowers and vegetables grown by our students for you to take home and grow in your own garden or patio. Attendees are welcome to bring in some of their overgrown perennials, houseplant cuttings, or seeds they would like to share or trade. We hope to see you there!
