Yesterday evening, October 10th, an Annual Social was held prior to the Board of Education meeting for the new employees of the Brocton Central School District, employees who have switched their roles and our most recently tenured employee. This event was an opportunity for the selected employees to meet the Board of Education and Administration while enjoying dessert made by Mrs. Lisa Brisley (group photo is pictured). At the Board of Education meeting, Mr. Davison recognized Hunter E. for being September Middle School Student of the Month (not pictured), Konner W. for being September High School of the Month (not pictured), Michael D. for being October Middle School Student of the Month (not pictured), and Xoey K. for being the October High School Student of the Month (pictured). Mr. Delcamp and Mr. Mead-Colegrove recognized Mr. David Davison for being Employee of the Month for October. Congratulations to all of these individuals!
Today is National Coaches Day and the Brocton Central School District would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing coaches, assistant coaches, volunteer coaches, and our shared athletic coaches from our partnering schools. Their dedication, leadership and their dedication to excellence have not only shaped our student-athletes but have also fostered a culture of teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship within the Brocton Central School District.

Tuesday October 15 will be the first day of the afterschool Fifth Grade Minecraft Club. If your child has not returned his/her permission and transportation, please have them do so as soon as possible. Fourth and third grade will not begin until later in the year. Reminder notes will go home when the fourth and third Minecraf Clubs are scheduled to begin.
In honor of President Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday, Mr. Galofaro’s 4th grade library classes took a virtual field trip to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum to learn about his life through primary sources.

Did you know we offer swim lessons at our natatorium? Starting Saturday, October 19, we will have swim lessons running at 9 am and at 10 am for preschoolers, beginning swimmers or intermediate. $60 for six sessions with a discount for siblings. Brocton residents can begin registering this afternoon in our Fitness Center from 4-6pm. Can't make it tonight, you have Friday 10/4 from 4-6pm and Saturday 10/5 from 9-noon. Non-Brocton residents can register beginning Wednesday 10/9 from 4-6pm, Friday 10/11 from 4-6pm and Saturday 10/12 from 9-noon. Today is National Custodial Worker’s Recognition Day and the Brocton Central School District would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the dedicated Maintenance Department who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our school clean, safe and welcoming.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our exceptional custodial team Mr. Ken Roberts, Mr. Paul Barnum, Mr. James Blanchard, Mr. Ryan Bundy, Mr. Joe Dunn, Mr. Mark Furman, Ms. Tamara Hanby, Ms. Valerie Lanphere, Mr. Will Powless, Ms. Heidi Suppo, Mrs. Kelly Tanner, and our substitute cleaning staff. Their hard work and commitment does not go unnoticed. From early mornings to late evenings, they all ensure that our school environment is not only tidy but also conducive to learning and growth. In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day, Middle and High School students were encouraged to write a positive message on a banner in the cafeteria to help give a sense of hope to those in need. Students were also given a pocket size card with a positive affirmation and The National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
