On Saturday, June 7th, 24 students represented Brocton at the annual CCMTA Spring All-County music festival at the Chautauqua Institution. Students spent all day learning from guest conductors and ended the evening with a performance on the stage of the historic amphitheater. Great job everyone! Your music teachers are so proud of you!

Senior year is full of many events. We invite the community to join the seniors for a baccalaureate in honor of the Class of 2025. Please see the attached information if you are interested in joining.

June marks World Pride Month, and the Brocton Central School District aims to foster a sense of belonging and support for all students, ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected.

Our Middle/High School and Elementary Swim Clubs have finished their Spring sessions. Most students that swam in the fall returned for the spring session. Stroke technique was worked on while endurance got better. What a wonderful opportunity for our students to get in the water to strengthen their skills. Swim Club will be offered again in the fall for the 2025-2026 school year.

We would like to congratulate Mrs. Muck on being PAX Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Muck has brought more peace, productivity, health, and happiness to Brocton Elementary School by continuing to use many PAX kernels in her classroom daily. Thank you, Mrs. Muck, for bringing more PAX into the school and students’ lives! Keep up the great work!

Today, the Brocton Central School District commemorates those we have lost on this solemn Memorial Day.

This is a friendly reminder that, in accordance with the district calendar, there will be no school on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.
This morning, the School Health and Wellness Committee proudly hosted a highly successful "Fruit Smoothie Friday" event for both students and staff. In less than two hours, over 300 smoothies were served, much to the delight of attendees. Participants expressed enthusiasm as they enjoyed a variety of flavors, including mixed berry, blueberry, and strawberry smoothies.

Fruit Smoothie Friday! Tomorrow, the Health and Wellness Committee will be offering fruit smoothie samples for students and staff during school breakfast.

Yesterday evening, May 21st at the Board of Education meeting, Mr. Oldham recognized Lydia L. for being May Middle School Student of the Month (not pictured) and Paige M. for being May High School Student of the Month (not pictured). Mr. Delcamp and Mr. Mead-Colegrove recognized Mrs. Jessica Hornbuckle for being Employee of the Month for May (pictured). Congratulations to all of these individuals.

Today, the STEM Club competed in STEM Wars and had a very successful event! Brocton brought home several awards, including first place in the Maker Faire. Their award winning projects include a group cardboard arcade projects and individual projects such as a working rubber band car, paper crafts, and a model of the moon orbiting Earth. They won first place in the robotics, catapult, and marble run competitions. They also took home second place in the robotics and catapult competition, as well as third place in the marble run competition. In addition to the competitions, students learned about STEM college programs and careers, met a robotic dog, and participated in a variety of activities such as making laser engraved dog tags. Students completed a scavenger hunt visiting different local colleges and businesses related to STEM. Third grader Gavin McNally was one of three winners for completing the scavenger hunt.










Friendly reminder: The Elementary STEM Club will be leaving at 8:15am tomorrow (May 21) morning to attend STEM Wars. Please have your child ride the early bus or plan to drop them off between 7:40-8:15. Please pack a lunch for you child if you did not opt for the school to provide a bag lunch. Thank you!

This is a friendly reminder that the Brocton Central School District vote for the 2025-2026 academic year is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in the High School Gymnasium. Erie-2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES will be operating an in person Regional Summer School located at Brocton Central School this year.
Students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to attend summer school to earn course credit for core classes, retake Regents exams, and participate in Regents Review sessions. Students must have earned a course grade of 50% or higher to enroll in a course and are able to enroll into up to 2 courses. If a student is failing more than two courses, they will work with the School Counselor to determine which courses to take or if retention is needed.
Summer school will run from July 7-August 14. Classes will meet Monday-Thursday each week. Period 1 meets from 7:55-10:00am and Period 2 meets from 10:00am-12:05pm.

Today, May 18th, we celebrate National Speech Pathologist Day!
