Exploring the Jurassic with technology!
Mrs. Zappie’s computer students dove into the Jurassic period with a focus on the mighty T-Rex!
As part of their research, students used a digital sound mixing board to create their own interpretations of what a T-Rex roar might have sounded like—drawing inspiration from the roars of modern birds, mammals, and reptiles that scientists believe are related to dinosaurs.
To bring history to life even further, students had the exciting opportunity to see and touch 3D-printed models of dinosaur skulls, teeth, and other fossils.
It was a roaring success!

🌍💚 Today is World Suicide Prevention Day 💚🌍
At Brocton Central School, we believe that every life matters and each student’s voice deserves to be heard.
•You are NEVER ALONE; your struggles do not define who you are.
•Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
If someone you know is hurting please know, there are safe spaces and people ready to listen and provide support:
• Reach out to a trusted teacher, social worker, counselor, or friend.
• Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7).
Sometimes, the hardest part is starting the hard conversation, but these conversations save lives.
Be kind, look out for one another, lend a helping hand, and give grace to those who are struggling.
Together, we are #BroctonStrong

Today is National 988 Day! The purpose of today is to bring awareness to The 24/7 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline that can be reached by dialing #988.
#988 is a free, confidential space with a trained counselor ready to listen and provide guidane and hekp.
Remember you are not alone.
Reaching out for help is a sign of strength.

The positive transformations we have witnessed in our students could not have been achieved without her expertise and compassionate care.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Wendy Dellow for her unwavering dedication to enhancing our students' quality of life and for being an invaluable member of the Bulldog family.

We're diving into the fascinating world of herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, learning what each type of dinosaur ate and how they lived - we even accessed digital x-rays of dinosaurs.
We’re also exploring how fossils formed and how paleontologists uncover clues about these ancient creatures.
It's a hands-on journey through science and technology that’s sparking curiosity and imagination!

Yesterday evening, August 27th, during the Board of Education meeting, Mr. Delcamp and Mr. Mead-Colegrove recognized Ms. Kathleen Garnsey as the Employee of the Month for August (pictured; suggested and approved by K.G.). Prior to this meeting, the Building Committee conducted a comprehensive walkthrough of the school facilities, confirming that the buildings are prepared for the students' opening day on Tuesday, September 2nd.
Additionally, please note that the Open House for grades PreK through 12 will take place from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM today. We look forward to your anticipated attendance!

For many years, our District has operated six bus runs each morning and afternoon. Since 2004, our pK–12 student enrollment has declined from approximately 700 students to about 500 students at the conclusion of the 2025 school year. In addition, the ongoing shortage of qualified bus drivers, both for our daily routes and for out-of-district transportation, has made it necessary to adopt changes that are fiscally responsible while still meeting the needs of our students.
With these changes, bus routes will be slightly modified to ensure safe and efficient pick-up and drop-off. No student will be on a bus for more than one hour, even in the most extreme cases.
Next week, the transportation department will be mailing out bus schedules for pick up and drop off times. These are approximate times and will need to have a 5-10 minute leeway for the first few weeks as all the students and drivers get acclimated to the new schedules.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding during this transition. Special thanks go to our Transportation Department for their flexibility and willingness to support these changes, which will help us operate more efficiently and responsibly.

Your Senior Banners are now available for pick-up in the High School Office.
