
Attention community members, The Brocton Gardening Club is hosting a plant giveaway. Parents, staff and friends are welcome to come to the high school courtyard outside of the gym on Thursday May 23 from 2:30 to 5:30. We will be giving away flowers, vegetables and herbs grown by our students for home gardens. Plants will be given free of charge but donations or plants for trade are welcome.


Elementary Swim Club will be canceled this afternoon, Thursday, May 16. Ms. Hamlet apologizes for any inconvenience. Thank You for understanding. We will resume Monday, May 20.


Thank you to all the families that came out to support the 2024 Adult and Me dance hosted by the class of 2025. Thank you to the kids and families who volunterred to run it and the staff that showed up too! It was an amazing turn out and everyone looks so good.











Brocton Central School District would like to wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day!


On Saturday, May 4th, 21 vocal students and 4 instrumental students from Brocton attended the NYSSMA solo festival at SUNY Fredonia in Mason Hall. Students prepared solos, scales, and sight reading for adjudication to receive individual scores and assessments on their performances. Solos are graded level 1-6, with 1 being the least difficult and 6 being the most difficult. All of our students who prepared a solo levels 1-4 received either an “Excellent” or “Outstanding” rating, and our students who prepared a solo levels 5 or 6 received an “A” or “A+” rating. These scores will be used to determine if anyone will be selected for Zone 1 Area All-State in the fall. Congratulations to our Brocton students!

Kids Yoga is canceled for tomorrow and will resume next Thursday, May 16th at 7:45am.


Don't forget there is an exciting night ahead Friday, May 10, 2024 the class of 2025 will be hosting an adult and me dance from 6pm to 9pm in the HS gym and Cafeteria. There will be dancing, snacks, and games. Hope to see you there!

Today is School Lunch Hero Day! The Brocton Central School District would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our Food Service Workers and their substitutes for their exceptional work. Our Food Service team plays a vital role in the well-being of our students. They ensure that our children have access to nutritious and delicious meals that fuel their bodies and minds. We would like to recognize their unwavering commitment and say a heartfelt thank you. Their efforts make a real difference in the lives of our students and our entire school community.


Today, May 1st, is National School Principals Day, and the Brocton Central School District is honored to recognize and express our deepest gratitude to our exceptional principals Mrs. Sandra Kopiczak (Elementary Principal), Mrs. Elizabeth Antolina (Middle/High School Principal), and Mrs. Melanie Ulinger (Director of Special Education). On this special day, we acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our principals and express our sincere appreciation for their dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment to our staff and students. Thank you, Mrs. Kopiczak, Mrs. Antolina, and Mrs. Ulinger, for making a profound difference in our school community.


Kindergarten students in Mrs. Zappie's Computers continue to learn about our Earth. Here, students learned about how seeds travel and had to use mouse skills to catch them all before they move onto the next level to learn about a different type of seed.





The first grade is learning about the science of sound. This week they learned to play Boomwhackers to not only make music, but also to learn the science behind sound vibrations and how size affects pitch. This is preparing them for next week's STEM project, which is to design and build an instrument.



Yesterday evening, April 24th, at the Board of Education meeting, Mrs. Antolina recognized Bethlitza S. for being the April Middle School Student of the Month (not pictured) and Xavier L. for being April High School Student of the Month (pictured). Mr. Delcamp and Mr. Smith recognized Mrs. Michelle Swanson for being Employee of the Month for March (pictured) and Mrs. Lauren Ragan for being Employee of the Month for April (pictured). Deputy Sara Rosario, School Resource Officer, introduced herself to the Board of Education and Administration. Congratulations to all of these individuals and welcome Deputy Sara Rosario to the district!





This message serves as a reminder as indicated on the district calendar, that there is an early dismissal tomorrow, Friday, April 26th. PreK and MS/HS students will be dismissed at 11 AM. Elementary school students in K-5 will be dismissed at 12 PM. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s corresponding office.

Mrs. Maybee's ENL class is celebrating Earth Day in style! After diving into a captivating Earth Day story, students brainstormed ways to give back to our planet. From there, they put their English skills to work, crafting detailed planting instructions for flowers and vegetables . Students will be watching their creations grow over the next few weeks before taking them home to enjoy for the summer .



Brocton Swim Club will be in session one more time this school year for our 3rd - 5th graders. We begin May 2nd and will run on the following dates: 5/6, 5/9, 5/13, 5/16, 5/20, 5/23, 5/30. Parent Pick up is promptly at 4:45pm the day of the sessions. Permission slips have been sent home and will be accepted until Friday, April 26, 2024.
