Please join us in wearing the color purple on February 9, 2024 to help instill hope for people affected with mental health issues, fostering a supportive environment and community where everyone feels welcomed, loved and supported. We are all in need of support at times. P.S. I Love You Day is a great reminder that we can all come together and support one another.

The Brocton Central School Drama Club proudly presents this year's musical, Freaky Friday on Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 each. This week the Brocton Central School District celebrates National School Counseling week. It is important to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond in their jobs, and Mrs. Fitzgerald is certainly one of those people.
Mrs. Fitzgerald has consistently demonstrated her commitment to helping students grow and succeed in all aspects of their lives. She is always available to lend an ear, offer guidance, and provide support in any way that she can. Her tireless efforts have made a significant impact on the lives of countless students and their families.

Just a friendly reminder that school will be in session this Friday, February 2nd. The Superintendents conference day that was previously scheduled for Friday has been moved to April 8th.


This message is to inform you that the Brocton Elementary School is now accepting registrations for our PreK & Kindergarten classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Registration packets for students eligible for PreK & Kindergarten can be obtained by calling the Elementary Office at (716) 792-2100. To be eligible for PreK, children must turn four (4) on or before December 1, 2024. To be eligible for Kindergarten, children must turn five (5) on or before December 1, 2024. When turning in your completed registration packet, a copy of your child’s birth certificate, documented immunization records and two proofs of residency are required.

After listening to the story Newton and Me, a children's book on force and motion and how surfaces and incline affect speed, kindergarten learned more about force and motion through play. The students played games on different surfaces with a ball and then built devices to make a ball move faster or slower and change directions.






Earlier this week, the 4th and 5th graders who met their Successmaker personal reading goal celebrated with a STEM and Games party. Today and next week the first, second, and third graders who met their goal will also participate in a STEM and Games party.









Please keep a look out for the Gertrude Hawk Candy flier your child will be bringing home. This sale supports the Brocton Booster Club. The fundraiser will take place from January 20th through February 15th. Orders will be delivered the week of March 18th.

Kindergarten started a unit on force and motion. The unit began with a story titled Ricky the Rock Can't Roll, where students explored and discussed why a rock may or may not roll. After they the story, they created their own inventions to help a flat piece of wood roll. Students using the engineering process to design and build the inventions, tested it on a cardboard ramp, and modified it as needed.

This message serves as a reminder that the Brocton Central School District has an early dismissal, Friday, January 26, 2024. Pre-K and Middle/High School students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m., Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.


Yesterday evening, January 17th, at the Board of Education meeting, Mrs. Antolina recognized Yaeliz A.. for being the December Middle School Student of the Month (not pictured). Mrs. Antolina recognized Jenesis O. for being December High School Student of the Month (pictured). Mr. Delcamp, Mrs Kopiczak and Mr. Mead-Colegrove recognized Miss April Tye for being Employee of the Month for January (pictured). Congratulations to all of these individuals!



Brocton CSD is canceling ALL after school and evening activities for today, January 16, 2024. This includes all sports games, practices, clubs, Adult Pickleball, Fitness Center and the Pool. Please be safe in your travels this afternoon.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. there will be no school on Monday, January 15th, 2024.


Brocton CSD will be opening its locker room and shower facilities to students, their families and community members impacted by the power outages. Thursday morning from 6:00 AM until 7:15 AM the Pool and gym locker rooms will be available for shower use, and a warm facility before school starts. Please enter at the high school gym entrance.
