It has been just over one year since the public voted (October 30, 2018) in favor of our Capital Building Project. The District has worked with our architects from Clark Patterson Lee to make finalized and detailed plans for final submission to the State Education Department. Such documents are under review and expected approval is within the next few weeks. Our goal is to go out for bid in December with anticipation of actual renovations starting in the Spring of 2020. The Board of Education has reviewed various proposals for construction management firms and have selected Buffalo Construction to oversee the project. As a reminder, this project will include the renovation of a classroom in the MS/HS lobby to be the new special education suite / meeting area, air conditioning in the grades 3-5 classroom wing, a new elementary science lab, new technology shop and classroom, renovated home and careers room, athletic field dugouts and fencing and some enhancements to the auditorium to name a few of the big ticket items. We are excited to start such renovations and we greatly appreciate the public support of maintaining and enhancing Brocton Central School.
